Student Preparation
Students who are interested in applying for scholarships must read the following information. Ms. Beaton presented detailed scholarship information to Grade 12 students in September.
Step 1:
Read the information posted on scholarship bulletin board located across the hall from the library. Monthly bulletins are also posted in English 12 classrooms. Please note deadlines.
Step 2:
Visit scholarship websites (See Below)
Step 3:
For scholarship opportunities in which you are interested, read and complete application forms (some you may download from websites and others will be available from Ms. Niccoli-Harris).
Step 4:
Get application materials ready (i.e.: current resume, reference letters). Students were asked to place a Moscrop Profile Form (generic application form) in the yellow box on the scholarship table in the counselling centre. These were due on Oct 13th . Be sure to update this form periodically as your experience grows. These are filed and stored. Scholarship committee members refer to these when making decisions about scholarship recipients and nominations. With the exception of this selection committee, the profiles are confidential.
Step 5:
Read the mailing instructions carefully. Some applications can be mailed directly and others must be submitted to Ms. Niccoli-Harris.
Step 6:
If students have additional questions they are encouraged to see Ms. Niccoli-Harris: Monday to Friday during lunch or after school.
