Graduation Transitions
Graduation Transitions
In order to graduate, students must complete the five Graduation Transition Requirements. All must be completed by June of the student's grade 12 year.
1. Healthy Living Plan
Completed, usually, in Grade 10 PE class, and updated in Grade 12.
2. Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Requirement
150 minutes moderate to vigorous physical activity weekly
Moscrop DPA logs are available from Ms. Dato in the Career Programs office (Rm 313) and on the Moscrop website. DPA logs should be handed in three times per year:

DPA logs should be handed in to your Planning 10, Physical course teacher or to Ms. Dato in Rm 313.
Note: Even if you are enrolled in a PE, Weight Training, Strength & Conditioning, or Dance class at Moscrop, you MUST hand in a signed Daily Physical Activity Log three times per year.
3. 30 Hour Work Experience
Everyone must complete a minimum of 30 hours of work experience between the end of grade 10 and the end of grade 12. Students can meet this requirement through any of the following:
a) paid work at a company
b) volunteer work with an organization outside of Moscrop
c) work experience arranged by a career programs advisor
All work experience paperwork must be submitted to Rm 313.

4. Graduation Transition Plan
This is an assignment that details the students' plans for the period immediately following high school. Students need to plan what they are going to do and how they are going to make it happen. This assignment is due on or before Thursday, January 28, 2010 to Ms. Dato in the Career Programs office. Copies of the Graduation Transition Plan are available on the school website or from Ms. Dato in Rm 313.
Attached to the Transition Plan should be the following:
Healthy Living Plan
Current Resume (free of errors!)
Cover Letter OR Copy of Application to Post-Secondary Institute
TRANSITION PLANS ARE NOW PAST DUE. HAND YOURS IN IMMEDIATELY! (FEB 2010)
5. Student-Led Interviews
Interviews will take place on April 7, and April 20, 2010. (the bulk on April 7).
Students will bring their Graduation Transition Plan, all attacments, and evidence of the things they are proud of to their interview (more details to follow in February 2010).
Resumes submitted with the Transition Plan should be corrected for errors & refreshed for the interviews.
