Graduation Transitions
Background
Starting in the September 1, 2007 school year, Graduation Transitions replaces the Graduation Portfolio Assessment found in the original 2004 graduation program. All BC secondary school students who are enrolled in Grade 10, 11 or 12 as of September 1, 2007, and beyond must demonstrate they have met the following requirements for:
- Personal Health - maintain a personal health plan and participate in at least 80 hours of moderate to vigorous physical activity, in addition to PE10. Use one or all the following physical activity logs to verify your 80 hours of physical activity.
Activity Log Teams and Sports Individual Activity Log
- Community Connections - participate in at least 30 hours of work experience and/or community service and describe what was learned. Students will be provided with information in Planning 10 class, during course selection for grade 11. Students must successfully pass the WCB worksafe test with 80%, and be a min. of 15 years old. - Career and Life - complete a transition plan and present significant accomplishments.
- Student Led Exit Interview - Completed during the end of the grade 12 year.
