2010/11 MENTORSHIP
The list of mentors for next year has been posted in the foyer and the large gym. Everyone listed is expected to come to a mandatory meeting on Monday, June 14 at lunch in the library. If you won’t be there, please talk to Ms. Berning ASAP, otherwise we will have to replace you with another applicant.

A Provincial Exam Bulletin has been posted to the Exams website under “Popular Topics”: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/exams/ and is attached to this email.
This bulletin is designed to answer the questions most commonly asked by students regarding provincial exams results, transcripts, August exams, Provincial Scholarships, etc. There is also a link provided to this bulletin on the Moscrop Website: www.moscropsecondary.com

The International Public School Education Association (IPSEA) would like to make you an international celebrity. Sadly they can't but at least they can show the world the faces of BC schools. LANGUAGES FINALS-LISTENING EXAM
Here are the dates of the listening component for the French 12, Mandarin 12 and Japanese 12 provincial exams. Exams will take place in room 325.
June 17 9:00-1:00: Mandarin 12
June 18 10:00-12:00: Japanese 12
June 18 1:00-3:00: French 12

CAREER PROGRAMS
Burnaby School District is offering Two NEW PROGRAMS:
1. Digital Sound Production for Grade 11 or 12 students
If you are an aspiring rock musician and/or sound engineer the Digital Sound Production Program is for you! Play and record in this 16 credit program. For more information contact Ms. Tracey Wispinski in the school Career Centre Room 313, or tracey.wispinski@sd41.bc.ca
2. Transition to Trades Training for Grade 10 or 11 Students
Learn about apprenticeshipable careers, and gain hands on experience in 6 different trades areas: Carpentry, Plumbing/Piping, Machinist, Welding, Electrical and Mechanics. Learn and earn the following certifications: WHMIS, Construction Safety Training, Occupational First Aid Level 1, Fall Protection, Fork Lift Operator, Hilti, Power Actuated Tool, Traffic Control Person.
