Loan Information

Almost all fiction and non-fiction books have a 2 week loan period. Reference books, DVDs and Magazines are available for overnight loans.

The Library provides printing and photocopying services for all students for a small fee.

Photocopying is 10 cents per page. Photocopying is self-serve, but the Library staff will be happy to help you if you require it.

You can also print on letter-sized pages for a fee of 10 cents per page for text only, 50 cents if the page has any images.

Colour printing is not available.

Computers

There are a total of 17 computers available for student use in the library. There are also 2 scanners. There is one catalogue kiosk.

Computers in the library are strictly for school work only. Games and music are not allowed.

Fines

There are no fines for late library materials, but please return books on the due date. Books may be renewed and a hold may be placed on a book that is circulating.

Library Collections

Our Library collection has been specifically built to serve the research needs of the students. Since this school has French Immersion, the Library has books in both French and English.

Library Rules

Students using the Library should follow these few rules:

  • There is no food or drink allowed in the Library
  • Cell phone use in the Library is discouraged, if you are using your cell phone please do so in a quiet manner
  • When you come to the Library you should be prepared to do some study activity:
    • do homework;
    • do research for an assignment;
    • study for an exam or test;
    • do some leisure reading (books, newspapers, magazines);
  • Please limit talking to quiet discussions.
  • Please be prepared to show proof of Study Block upon request.
  • Students coming from class require a note from the teacher.

Only through mutual respect can the Library provide a successful service. Remember, we expect appropriate behaviour.
