Cuba 2012
In 2012 our senior music students will be travelling to Cuba in a special program for international exchange between music students from Canada and Cuba. We are happy to report that it is a very safe experience and many schools including Burnaby North have participated in this program already.
In Cuba, we will stay 7 nights and during our time in Cuba we will have the opportunity to perform in many historic and beautiful sites such as their ancient stone churches with their incredible acoustics. We will be performing with Cuban music students and will attend their school for a morning. We will learn about Cuban culture including learning SAlsa dancing and performing Latino style music. While our trip has many educational and eye opening events, we will spend some time visiting the beautiful beaches Cuba is famous for.
